Ambassador says Moscow suggests South Korea work at Rajin port
VLADIVOSTOK, Apr 18 (PRIME) -- Moscow suggests South Korean companies join a project in North Korea’s port of Rajin, from where Russia exports its coal, Russian Ambassador to North Korea Alexander Matsegora told PRIME in an interview published on Wednesday.
“We suggest our colleagues, the South Korean colleagues and the North Korean colleagues, consider participation in the Rajin project. The Rajin project is not forbidden by sanctions and this is why if South Korean companies happen to decide to ship coal from Rajin to South Korea, not only to China, everybody would win,” Matsegora said.
Russia and North Korea have rebuilt the Khasan–Rajin railway and the port of Rajin.
